Directive on Machinery 2006/42/EC

On 29 December 2009 with the Directive 2006/42/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 17 May 2006 on Machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC, new provisions with regard to the placing on the market of machinery came into force. The transition from the old to the new legal situation was not fluent, i.e. as from 29 December 2009 exclusively the new regulations are to be applied. As a result of this amendment to the legal guidelines we would like to give you the following brief explanation relating to the CE marking of our products and the inclusion of installation/fitting instructions or assembly instructions.

CE Marking

All the products placed on the market by the companies named within the scope of this Directive (see below) are subject to either the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and/or the Low-voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and for this reason are to be identified with the CE marking, even if these products constitute partly completed machinery as defined in § 16 section 3 of the new Directive on Machinery and § 6 section 3 of the Machinery Ordinance -9th GPSGV (Equipment and Product Safety Act). This follows from Article 1 (2)(k) of the Directive on Machinery 2006/42/EC.

Installation/Fitting Instructions and Assembly Instructions

Since the products placed on the market by the companies named within the scope of this Directive (see below) involve partly completed machinery as defined by the new Directive on Machinery and will be delivered solely to customers who will make complete machines out of these products (B2B), installation/fitting instructions and assembly instructions will be produced that will only be made available for the first and one time when the product is sampled or changed. Furthermore, there is the possibility of downloading the installation/fitting instructions and assembly instructions directly from the Internet by going to "www.dewert.de" or "www.okin.de".
Please understand that because of the legally binding guidelines of the Directive on Machinery 2006/42/EC, we do not have any room for manoeuvre with regard to issuing any further documents.

Scope:

This Directive applies to the following products:

All products put on the market by DewertOkin GmbH under the name DEWERT or OKIN.
